About The Designer
Yes, all of our plans are designed to recieve permit approval for construction in Nova Scotia. However, certain structural elements—such as tall walls for vaulted ceilings, foundation walls over 9'-0" tall, and many modern roof and floor designs—often require engineered components like trusses and floor systems. These are common in new home construction and help ensure compliance with building codes.
Yes! While we don’t work directly with engineers, we have resources to help connect you with great professionals in your area. We also collaborate with engineers as needed to ensure your plans meet permit requirements.
We have strong expertise in reading and applying building codes to ensure that every plan meets compliance requirements. Our experience spans various construction methods, including traditional 2x6 wall construction, double-stud walls or ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) homes for efficiency, traditional strip -form foundations, ICF foundations, thickened slab edges, fire rated assemblies and more.
